Aston Villa Women announced the loan signing of Jill Baijings in July 2024.

The midfielder joined from Bayern Munich ahead of the 2024/25 season having won the Frauen Bundesliga the campaign before.

Baijings enjoyed previous stints with Heerenveen, SGS Essen and Bayer Leverkusen before making her Bayern Munich bow in 2023.

The Dutch player had also been capped eight times by her national team at the time of signing.

After suffering a back during the opening weeks of pre-season, Baijings was forced to wait and make her Villa bow in January 2025.

She came on as a half-time substitute during the side's fourth-round Women's FA Cup match against Bristol Rovers.

Baijings netted Villa's ninth and final goal of the fixture as they safely booked their place in the next round of the competition.
