Anna Patten joined Aston Villa on a permanent basis during the summer of 2023 following two separate impressive loan spells with the club.

The defender put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal after departing her childhood club Arsenal.

Patten first joined Villa on a short-term loan in 2022 before re-joining for the entire 2022/23 campaign making 33 appearances in all competitions in the process.

The Ireland international has become a stalwart in Villa's defence and was the only player to start every single competitive game for the side during 2024.

Patten, who is also a regular for Ireland on the international stage, netted her first goal of the 24/25 campaign in a 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace at Villa Park with a tekky finish from inside the box. She also found the back of the net in a 3-2 victory away to Tottenham Hotspur on her birthday in April 2025 as Villa confirmed WSL football for another season.

The centre back penned a new deal ahead of the 2025/26 season as she was also named a part of the club's leadership group.

Patten reached 100 club appearances in addition to 100 WSL appearances middway through the current campaign as she continues to be an ever-present figure at the back.
