Marco Bizot arrived at Aston Villa in the summer of 2025, signing from Ligue 1 side Stade Brestois.

The towering Dutchman spent four years in Brest, making 148 appearances and impressing with performances.

In 2023/24, his 13 clean sheets helped Les Pirates secure a third-placed league finish and Champions League qualification for the first time, before a further 12 clean sheets in 41 games in 2024/25, turning out nine times in the Champions League.

Bizot came through the academy at Ajax, before moving to Groningen in 2012, where he spent two seasons.

A three-year spell in Belgium with Genk was followed by a return to Dutch Eredivisie, where he played 164 matches over four seasons with AZ Alkmaar before moving to France.

The 34-year-old has one senior international cap to his name for the Netherlands, making his debut against Spain in November 2020, before a further call-up in March 2024 for a friendly double header against Scotland and Germany.
