Marco Bizot arrived at Aston Villa in the summer of 2025, signing from Ligue 1 side Stade Brestois.

The towering Dutchman spent four years in Brest, making 148 appearances and impressing with performances.

In 2023/24, his 13 clean sheets helped Les Pirates secure a third-placed league finish and Champions League qualification for the first time, before a further 12 clean sheets in 41 games in 2024/25, turning out nine times in the Champions League.

Bizot came through the academy at Ajax, before moving to Groningen in 2012, where he spent two seasons.

A three-year spell in Belgium with Genk was followed by a return to Dutch Eredivisie, where he played 164 matches over four seasons with AZ Alkmaar before moving to France.

Bizot has one senior international cap to his name for the Netherlands, making his debut against Spain in November 2020, before a further call-up in March 2024 for a friendly double header against Scotland and Germany.
