Bio
Young Dutchman Lamare Bogarde joined Aston Villa from Feyenoord in the summer of 2020.
Capable of playing in defence or midfield, he signed a new contract with the club in April 2025 having also penned a fresh deal the previous August.
Bogarde enjoyed his Premier League debut for the club against Leicester City in August 2024, the first of 16 appearances during the 2024/25 campaign, including four in the UEFA Champions League.
He made his first-team debut for Villa against Liverpool in the FA Cup third round in January 2021. A matter of days after the cup tie, Bogarde signed his maiden professional contract with the club.
Ending the 2020/21 season on a high, Bogarde helped Villa win the FA Youth Cup for the first time since 2002.
He impressed on loan at Bristol Rovers in League One, making 18 appearances during 2022/23. He headed back to Rovers for the first half of the 2023/24 campaign before returning to Villa in January 2024.
Bogarde has also earned international honours, representing the Netherlands at U15, U16, U18, U20 and U21 levels.
