Bio
Aston Villa announced the signing of Jadon Sancho on loan from Manchester United on Deadline Day in the summer of 2025.
The England winger arrived at the club on the back of a season on loan at Chelsea, where he helped the Blues lift the 2024/25 UEFA Conference League Trophy.
An experienced operator despite being just 25, Sancho spent time in the academies of both Watford and then Manchester City, leaving the latter aged 17 to move to Germany and sign for Borussia Dortmund.
He scored 50 goals in 137 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit, winning the DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup before returning to England with the Red Devils in 2021.
Among his achievements domestically was a Carabao Cup win in 2023, before a return to Dortmund followed on loan the following year, where – alongside future Villa team-mates Donyell Malen and Ian Maatsen – he helped his side reach the Champions League Final.
Internationally, Sancho was a part of the England Under-17 side which reached the European Championship final and was then crowned World Champions in 2017, netting 16 goals in 19 appearances in total at this level.
He has 23 caps at senior level for the Three Lions, and has scored three international goals.
