Aston Villa head north to take on Everton this evening as they return to league action for the first time in five weeks.
Interim Head Coach Shaun Goater sat down with Villa TV to preview the encounter.
Here is what he had to say …
On returning to league action:

“The girls are really excited, they are buzzing,
“They had a nice little break and have come back refreshed and everyone has been jumping at the bit to get going again.
“It was really good to play Bristol Rovers and get a bit of running in our legs and obviously also some goals.’
On the mood around camp:

“I think the mood has been lifted a bit as they’ve now got a little bit of that belief back.
“There was a little bit of a cloud around before.
“I think they’re more upbeat, looking forward to training and giving the energy in training.”
On building on the three game unbeaten run:

“It is really important, momentum is everything.
“Now we're back to business in terms of playing Everton and we’re looking forward to that.
“We’ve talked about our game plan and our strategy and we feel really good about it.
“Definitely the players are really looking forward to this game and there’s a lot of confidence.”
On scoring scoring 16 goals in three games:

“It is good when you are able to get all of the front players chipping in with goals and assists.
“And that’s what we’ve found in the three games, everyone’s been able to chip in with goals which means they’ve all got this but of confidence so when they go on the field they have the feeling that if they get another chance they can take it.
“This is important and this is what also helps create momentum."
