His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge opened Aston Villa’s new High Performance Centre at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground on Tuesday.

The Duke was given a tour of the state-of-the-art facility, which has been designed specifically for elite performance, and spoke to socially-distanced groups of Villa players and management staff.

During his visit, The Duke also heard about the Aston Villa Foundation’s Community Outreach and Support programmes, as well as being introduced to those involved in the antenatal clinics from the Birmingham and Sandwell NHS Trust, who made use of facilities at Villa Park during the pandemic.
