Why does the Club collect Equal Opportunity Monitoring information on the application form?
The Club asks all applicants to complete an Equal Opportunity Monitoring section on their application form.
The Club asks for this information to allow us to analyse candidates Equal Opportunities data and we may use these insights to inform further positive action.
Please note that our e-recruitment system automatically removes the applicant Equal Opportunity Information prior to the recruitment panel shortlisting applications.
General Recruitment Questions
Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes. Once you have registered for an account on the AVFC Vacancy Search Site and applied for your first role, you will, in future, be able to log into your account and view any of your previous application forms.
You can then use any previous application form to apply for any other available roles you are interested in. We encourage each application to be specific and tailored to each role you apply for so you can demonstrate how you meet the role requirements.
Can I be notified as and when new vacancies are advertised by Aston Villa?
Yes. You will need to register for an account on the AVFC Vacancy Search Site. On the left-hand side toolbar, click ‘My Account’, scroll down to the ‘Vacancy Alerts’ section where you can opt in to notifications.
Can I upload documents such as a CV and Cover Letter alongside my application form?
Yes. There is a document upload section as part of the application form where you will be able to upload word documents or PDF documents up to a size of 10MB.
How do I know if my application has submitted successfully?
Once you have submitted your application, you should receive an automatic email from the system confirming that your application has been submitted. If you have not received this, please check your junk folder! If you have still not received the email, please contact careers@avfc.co.uk and the Human Resources Team will be able to confirm if your application has been received.
How will I know if I have been shortlisted for an interview for a role?
Please be aware that due to the high volume of applications we receive, if you have not received a response to your application within 6 weeks, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
If you have been shortlisted for an interview, the Club will be in touch with you via email to invite you to an interview.
If I have not been shortlisted for interview, can I request feedback?
Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications we are unable to provide feedback if you have not been shortlisted.
Do you request references before an offer of employment is made?
The Club will normally only request references if an offer of employment is made. If you have stated that you do not grant the Club permission to contact your referees, we will ask for your permission before any requests are sent.
If I am offered a role, what will happen?
If you are successful following your interview, the Recruiting Manager and the Human Resources Team will be in touch with you to discuss the onboarding process.
