Thierry Katsukunya joined Aston Villa in November 2021. Aged 16 at the time of signing, the defender switched from midlands neighbours Coventry City having been with the Sky Blues since 2014. 

He signed a scholarship in July of 2022, penning his first professional contract just two months later, before putting pen to paper on a new contract in July 2025. 

A Wales youth international, Katsukunya made his debut for his nation's Under-21s side in March 2025, helping keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Andorra. 

The 2024/25 season saw him make 16 appearances in Premier League 2, playing a further two games in the Vertu Trophy and missing just 90 minutes of maiden UEFA Youth League campaign.
