Aston Villa captured the signing of exciting young forward Rory Wilson in July 2022. The highly-rated Scotland youth international moved to the Midlands from Rangers after an eye-catching campaign in which he netted 49 goals for club and country.

Having left Ibrox at the expiration of his contract, Wilson put pen to paper on his first professional deal at Villa, and has gone on to feature heavily for the club's academy sides. 

As well as starring in Premier League 2 throughout 2024/25, Wilson scored Aston Villa's first-ever goal in the UEFA Youth League, opening up Villa's campaign in the competition by breaking the deadlock on Matchday One in Switzerland, the Young Lions going on to lose 2-1 to Young Boys. 

The frontman, who has been caooed twice by Scotland's Under-21s, was a part of the Villa side which lifted the 2024 Birmingham Senior Cup, and signed a new contract with the Villans in April 2025.
