Bio
Louie Barry arrived from Barcelona in January 2020. The striker spent six months in Spain after joining the Catalan club from West Bromwich Albion.
Most recently, Barry enjoyed the first half of the 2024/25 season with Stockport County before being recalled in January, having registered an impressive 16 goals and twice won the League One Player of the Month award.
The forward also spent the 2023/24 campaign with the Hatters, and had loan spells at MK Dons and Salford City during the 2022/23 season.
Barry first went out on loan at the start of the 2021/22 season, linking up with League One side Ipswich Town. He made six appearances for the Tractor Boys before rejoining Villa in January. A loan move to Swindon Town in League Two proved more productive and he found the net six times in 16 games.
The forward hit the headlines in January 2021 when he scored on his senior debut against Liverpool in the FA Cup third round. Barry was also part of the Villa team that ended the club's 19-year wait to win the FA Youth Cup, scoring five times along the way.
Internationally, the forward has been capped by England at U15, U16, U17 and U18 level.
