It's been a busy but successful week in the world of Aston Villa, with victories in two different competitions for our men's team, as well as milestones and returns to training for injured players. 

Last Friday, Unai Emery's side bounced back from midweek disappointment at Crystal Palace to advance to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win over Cardiff City at Villa Park. 

That was then reinforced by a successful European evening in Bruges, where Villa ensured they would take a 3-1 advantage into the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie with Club Brugge, to be played at Villa Park next week.

Half-time in the last 16

A 3-1 win in Belgium put Villa firmly in the driving seat ahead of next Wednesday's Champions League round of 16 second leg against Club Brugge. 

UEFA Player of the Match Morgan Rogers, club Player of the Match Tyrone Mings and goalscorer Leon Bailey were among those to toast the win across their channels...

Pau and Ross back in training

Last week saw Pau Torres and Ross Barkley edge closer to long-awaited returns from injury, with both back out on the grass and in training. 

Pau went on to be named on the bench against Brugge in the Champions League, and both spoke of their pleasure at being active once again...

More milestones for three Villans

Matty Cash, Jacob Ramsey and Leon Bailey were the three latest Villans to celebrate appearance milestones for the club. 

Both Cash and Ramsey hit 150 appearances in claret and blue, while Bailey reached a ton of games for the club. The Polish international shared his pride on X...

Quarter-finals, here we come

Emery's men booked their place in the last eight of the FA Cup with a 2-0 victory over Cardiff City under the lights at Villa Park. 

Two-goal hero Marco Asensio was joined by Emi Martínez, Marcus Rashford, Boubacar Kamara, Lamare Bogarde, Ian Maatsen and Andrés García in celebrating the win on social media...
