Leon Bailey helped Jamaica to a 2-1 triumph over Guadeloupe in the CONCACAF Gold Cup during the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Aston Villa wide man, who completed 85 minutes, pulled the Reggae Boyz level with a left-footed finish in the 41st minute in California.

Jamaica then turned matters around in first-half injury time before seeing out the clash, with Bailey also hitting the crossbar with an audacious long-range strike from his own half.

The victory leaves Jamaica on three points from their opening two matches in Group C, with a crucial clash against Panama on Wednesday (ko 00am).

Kadan Young

Kadan Young and Triston Rowe bowed out of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in the group stages as England lost 4-2 against the Netherlands.

Young completed 90 minutes while Rowe remained an unused substitute for the Group B encounter in Romania, with England finishing on two points from their three matches.

The Young Lions found themselves 3-0 down at the break before Young’s impressive assist down the right wing gave hope of a fightback.

But Jong Oranje restored their three-goal advantage prior to England grabbing an injury-time consolation, although it wasn’t enough as they exited the tournament.
