Ian Maatsen and Samuel Iling Jr both progressed to the UEFA Under-21 European Championship quarter-finals with the Netherlands and England respectively on Wednesday night.
Maatsen completed 90 minutes for Jong Oranje, who finished with 10 men, as they wrapped up a crucial 2-0 win over Ukraine in their final group stage match of the tournament in Slovakia.
Victory moved the Netherlands on to four points and clinched second spot in Group D, ensuring a last-eight encounter against Portugal on Saturday (ko 5pm).
Iling Jr, meanwhile, started for the Young Lions at left-back and completed 45 minutes as they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Germany.
The reverse saw England finish second in Group B, with four points from their three matches during the competition so far.
It sets up a quarter-final showdown with Group A winners Spain on Saturday (ko 8pm).
