Andrés García played 90 minutes for Spain on Tuesday evening, who topped Group A of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship with a 1-1 draw with Italy.
La Rojita, who has already qualified alongside their opponents, took the lead through Jesús Rodríguez eight minutes into the second half, though Niccolò Pisilli levelled six minutes later to split the spoils.
It was García’s first appearance of the tournament at right-back, as his side finished top of the group on goals scored, having ended on the same points and goal difference as Italy in second.
They now await other results to discover their quarter-final opponents, who they will take on in Trnava on Saturday (ko 8pm).

Earlier in the evening, Kadan Young played another 45 minutes for England in a thrilling 5-5 draw with Germany on matchday two of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Romania.
Having started the Young Lions’ first game in Group B against Norway on Saturday, Young began on the bench in Ploiești, as England had fallen 4-1 down by half-time, and 5-1 down shortly after the restart.
But Will Antwi’s side staged a remarkable comeback, with four goals in the space of 11 second-half minutes sealing a point, and handing them second place ahead of their final group game against leaders Holland on Friday (ko 6pm).
England can no longer top the group, but will guarantee progression to the knockout stages with a win. Triston Rowe was an unused substitute on Tuesday.
