It was another unforgettable campaign for Aston Villa, with continued growth both on and off the field throughout 2024/25.
A Champions League quarter-final finish came before a first Wembley appearance in 10 years as the men's side reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, while a sixth-placed finish in the Premier League secured European football for the third consecutive campaign in the form of the Europa League.
It was also another stellar year for our flourishing academy. A maiden UEFA Youth League campaign saw Josep Gombau's Young Lions eliminated by eventual champions Barcelona at the round of 16 stage, while Jimmy Shan's under-18s swept up an unprecedented treble, winning the FA Youth Cup and Under-18 Premier League South division title before beating Manchester City in the national final.
Here, we're taking a look back over some of the most memorable and significant quotes throughout the campaign...

November was less enjoyable for Emery and his players, Villa opening up the month with a 4-1 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before losing 2-0 away to eventual champions Liverpool.
In between the two league outings - though Josep Gombau’s Young Lions recorded back-to-back UEFA Youth League wins with an emphatic 6-2 triumph in Belgium - Villa’s senior side could not continue their perfect start to the Champions League league phase, falling 1-0 at Club Brugge.
The international break saw Morgan Rogers receive a maiden England senior call-up, make his debut and be rewarded with a new long-term contract in B6, with Villa coming from behind in their first game out of the break to take a point against Palace in a 2-2 draw at Villa Park.
Villa's home was also the stage for the final game of the month, a return to Champions League matters, where a goalless draw was played out with Italian giants Juventus, after Emi Martínez had paraded his two Yashin Trophies on the field with his children ahead of kick-off, having been named the world’s best goalkeeper for a second year running the month prior.

Unai Emery
