Into the UEFA Youth League last 16

Aston Villa Under-19s booked their place in the UEFA Youth League round of 16 on Wednesday, with a 2-1 win in Hungary over Puskás Akadémia. 

Josep Gombau's Young Lions established a commanding two-goal advantage within 10 minutes of the start of the second half at the Pancho Aréna, staying firm in the final 10 minutes to protect their lead after the hosts had pulled a goal back.

They now advance to the last 16 of the competition, and will discover their opponents for the next round in Friday's draw, in Nyon, Switzerland.
