Unai Emery made five changes to Aston Villa’s starting XI for their Premier League clash at Manchester City.
Lucas Digne, Pau Torres, Amadou Onana, Jacob Ramsey and Marcus Rashford were all restored to Villa’s line-up after Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Newcastle United.
Ian Maatsen, John McGinn, Marco Asensio and Ollie Watkins were named among the substitutes to face City, although there was no place in the matchday 20 for Tyrone Mings.
The Etihad Stadium encounter marked Youri Tielemans’ 50th match and start of the campaign for the Villans so far.
