Aston Villa suffered their first defeat of the season in the Under-18 Premier League against Chelsea at Cobham Training Centre.

The sides were level at 1-1 at half-time after George Hemmings' opener for the away side was cancelled out by Olutayo Subuloye.

Chelsea turned the match in their favour with four goals in 21 second-half minutes, with Ryan Kavuma-McQueen bagging a brace and Sol Gordon and Frankie Runham also getting on the scoresheet.

Elijah Briscoe pulled one back but substitute Yahya Idrissi rounded off the scoring in stoppage time.

Villa made a great start in west London and hit the front with ten minutes played when Hemmings sent an effort into the top corner from just inside the penalty area.

The lead lasted until five minutes before half-time, with the Blues hitting back when Subuloye looped a back post header over Owen Asemota.

Villa's 'keeper was replaced by Jack Allan at the break, and the new man faced an onslaught from the hosts at the beginning of the second half.

Kavuma-McQueen cut in from the left and buried a shot on 51 minutes before Gordon capitalised on a defensive error to score three minutes later.

Runham drilled an effort into the bottom corner on the hour mark before Kavuma-McQueen struck again, lashing the ball beyond Allan to make it 5-1.

Briscoe quickly netted from close range to reduce Villa's arrears, but Idrissi scored with a classy finish to net Chelsea's sixth in stoppage time.
