Jhon Durán discussed his delight, after a 10th goal of the season helped Aston Villa secure a memorable 3-2 victory over RB Leipzig on Tuesday evening.
Introduced as a half-time substitute, Durán needed just seven minutes to make his mark on the game, curling a sublime long-range effort over Péter Gulácsi and in, putting Villa 2-1 ahead on the night.
The Colombian was pleased with his contribution and, most importantly, another big three points in the Champions League.

He said: “We worked hard as a team, and, well, that’s my job, to score.
“That’s what I work hard to do, but the main thing is three points away from home, and that’s what we got today.
“We’re so happy to be where we are in the standings right now.
“We’ve got to win the [next] game and we’re almost through, so we’re delighted about that.”

Entering the field in place of Ollie Watkins, who registered another assist for John McGinn’s opener three minutes in, Durán praised the competition with his fellow forward for the starting berth.
Villa’s No.9 turns 21 later this week, and is keen to celebrate his birthday by continuing to make an impact for the team, when called upon.
He added: “I’m just happy to be here. I actually love the competition I have going with Ollie Watkins.
“When it’s my turn, I will step up, and hopefully I can score and help the team.”
