Aston Villa will face Olympiacos in the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Villa booked their place in the last four of the competition following a dramatic victory over LOSC Lille on Thursday night.

Leading 2-1 from the first leg at Villa Park, Unai Emery’s side were trailing 2-0 on the night until Matty Cash rifled home an 87th-minute strike to make it 3-3 on aggregate and send the quarter-final to extra-time and penalties.

Emi Martínez was then the shoot-out hero as Villa triumphed 4-3 on spot-kicks to secure their spot on the semi-finals.

And they will now meet Olympiacos after they also emerged victorious 3-2 on penalties in their quarter-final against Fenerbahçe following a 3-3 aggregate draw.

The Greek side won their home first leg 3-2 before going down 1-0 in Istanbul on Thursday, sending the tie all the way to extra-time and a shoot-out.

Olympiacos transferred from the UEFA Europa League, before seeing off Ferencváros in their knockout round play-off and then Maccabi Tel Aviv in the round of 16.

The first leg is scheduled to take place at Villa Park on Thursday, May 2 (ko 8pm) and the second leg a week later in Piraeus on Thursday, May 9 (ko 8pm).

Fiorentina and Club Brugge will contest the other semi-final for a place in the final in Athens.

Further details for our semi-final tie against Olympiacos, including full ticketing information, will be confirmed in due course.
