Villa have made a strong start to the 2023/24 campaign and their assets have been impressing Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers. With the early eye test passed, the Villans are proving popular purchases ahead of Gameweek 7.
In fact, it could be time for FPL managers to double up on Villa.
Matty Cash
Since the Gameweek 1 deadline, defender Matty Cash (£4.7m) has attracted over 1,275,000 new managers. The defender has registered two clean sheets as well as two goals and three bonus points.
His 14 goal attempts are more than any other defender in the game. Eleven of these have come from inside the penalty area, meaning Cash’s advanced position will be highly attractive to buyers.
Moussa Diaby
Summer signing Moussa Diaby (£6.6m) has been bought over 875,000 times.
Diaby has registered four attacking returns so far this season. It means the Frenchman is currently the 10th-highest-scoring FPL midfielder having already delivered 32 points.
Nine of his 13 goal attempts have come from inside the box and two have been labelled as big chances. He’s also a creative force, setting up 10 efforts for team-mates. His four big chances created is the most across Villa’s squad.
Diaby is a key component in attack and has received 68 passes in the final third, a tally only bettered for Villa by Lucas Digne (£4.6m).
