Finn Azaz registered a goal and an assist as Plymouth Argyle recorded an impressive 6-2 triumph over Norwich City, while Louie Barry scored for a stunning sixth successive match for League Two Stockport County.

Aston Villa loanee Azaz bagged the Pilgrims’ fourth goal in first-half injury time on what was a memorable afternoon for the hosts as they scored six goals in a Championship match for the first time in more than 36 years.

Azaz then claimed a second-half assist as Plymouth ran out comfortable winners at Home Park, with Kaine Kesler Hayden also appearing as an 80th-minute substitute.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Seb Revan came off the bench at half-time and completed 45 minutes as Rotherham United held high-flying Preston North End to a 1-1 draw.

In League One, Viljami Sinisalo completed 90 minutes as Exeter City fell to a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Oxford United.

Lamare Bogarde also played 90 minutes as Bristol Rovers secured a 4-1 triumph over Wigan Athletic to move into the top half of the table.

In League Two, Barry continued his scintillating form with a goal and an assist in Stockport’s rampant 5-0 success over Wrexham.

The on-loan Villa forward netted the Hatters’ third in style before setting up their fifth and final goal late on.

Barry has now scored in six consecutive league matches for Stockport, claiming two assists along the way, and becomes the first County player to do so in the Football League for over 30 years.

Chisom Afoka, meanwhile, was an unused substitute in Bradford City’s 4-1 win at Newport County.

In Europe, Morgan Sanson competed 64 minutes as Nice recorded a 1-0 win at fellow high-fliers Monaco to remain one point off top spot in Ligue 1.

Oliwier Zych played 90 minutes for Puszcza Niepołomice as they played out a 1-1 draw at Radomiak Radom.
