Jacob Ramsey returned from injury in Villa’s last outing against Legia Warszawa, benefitting from 23 minutes off the bench.

Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia remain sidelined for the long term, while Bertrand Traore and Diego Carlos are close to returning to full training.

Chelsea have a host of players absent through injury, including Trevoh Chalobah, Carney Chukwuemeka, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia.

Better news for the Blues comes in the shape of Marc Cucurella, Noni Madueke, Moises Caicedo and Armando Broja who could return to their squad on Sunday.
