Villans recognised in Women's Ballon d'Or

Aston Villa Women were represented by Rachel Daly and Daphne van Domselaar on the shortlist for the 2023 Women’s Ballon d’Or, with Daly finishing 10th and van Domselaar 29th respectively.

The Ballon d’Or is viewed as one of the most prestigious individual awards in football and is voted for by an international panel of journalists.

Daly's excellent performances for Villa and England were recognised with a 10th-placed finish while van Domselaar was 29th in the voting after impressive displays for the Netherlands as well as at her former club, FC Twente.
