Moussa Diaby was delighted to score his first goal at Villa Park in Aston Villa’s win against Luton Town.
The 24-year-old, whose two previous strikes for the club came away from home, made it 2-0 with a smart finish in front of the Holte End after 49 minutes.
Villa went onto win 3-1, leaving Diaby to revel in his maiden home goal.

“I’m very happy to score my first goal at home in front of the fans,” he said.
“I’m waiting for this goal for a long time, even though I’ve scored two goals before [for the club].
“I’ve had two offside goals here, so I’m very happy to score my first goal at Villa Park. I think I can do better in the next few games.”
Diaby has impressed since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, adding a new dimension to Villa’s attacking play.

The Frenchman is hoping the team can continue in their current rich vein of form.
He said: “We have 12 wins in a row, and I think Villa Park is a good stadium with a big fans.
“We have to continue in this way.”
Diaby added: “I like the Premier League. It’s my first year here and I will try to do my best in every game.”
