Loan round-up: Gregory scores first Reading goal

Freya Gregory scored her first goal for Reading as they ran out 2-0 winners over Durham on Sunday.

The young winger joined the Barclays Women's Championship side on loan for the 2023/24 campaign and was thrust into the starting XI for the trip north.

And Freya made the most of the starting berth, putting the Royals ahead with an outstanding strike just past the hour mark.

Reading sealed the win in stoppage time to record their first success of the season.

The result itself lifts the team to seventh in the division and they are next in action when they welcome Lewes to Select Car Leasing Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
