Aston Villa's 2023/24 Women's Super League campaign began with a narrow 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at Villa Park on Sunday.

Rachel Daly put the home side ahead in front of a club-record attendance of 12,533 at Villa Park, but late goals from Lucía García and Rachel Williams earned the points for the visitors.
