Álex Moreno made his return from injury as he was named in Aston Villa’s starting line-up against Legia Warszawa in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The fit-again left-back returned to Villa’s XI for his maiden appearance of the campaign and first since May’s draw at Liverpool towards the end of last season.
There was also a place between the sticks for Robin Olsen, while Jhon Durán started in attack for the Group E encounter at Villa Park.
Clément Lenglet and Youri Tielemans returned to the side as Unai Emery made five changes from Sunday’s 2-1 victory at Tottenham Hotspur.
Emi Martínez, Diego Carlos, Lucas Digne and Pau Torres were all named among the substitutes, but there was no place in the matchday 21 for Ollie Watkins.
