Youri Tielemans hailed Aston Villa’s stunning home record and stressed the desire to carry on when they return to action after the November internationals.

Unai Emery’s side saw off Fulham 3-1 on Sunday to record a 13th successive league victory at Villa Park stretching back to March, a feat not matched for 40 years, while they also boast a 100% home record in the Europa Conference League.

Tielemans and a host of his Villa team-mates now head off for international duty with their respective nations, before returning to domestic action towards the end of the month.

And the Villa and Belgium midfielder is keen to pick up where Villa have left off, while saluting our run of results in B6.

“It’s a really good achievement,” he told VillaTV.

“And we just need to carry on in this form.”

Asked about the mood in the dressing room, Tielemans added: “It’s very good.

“There’s a positive atmosphere, everyone’s working for each other, everyone’s happy, everyone’s smiling.

“We know we have a big challenge and we just want to keep going in this form.”

Tielemans put in an energetic display in the middle of the park against the Cottagers as he retained his place in Emery’s starting XI following a 2-1 victory over AZ Alkmaar in midweek.

Villa return to Premier League action with a trip to Tottenham Hotspur as they face three of the current top four in their next four fixtures, including home matches against Manchester City and Arsenal.

“(They’re going to be) some games,” added Tielemans.

‘That’s the Premier League, isn’t it?!”
