Aston Villa suffered a 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League 2 on Friday night.

Tommi O’Reilly converted in the 87th minute to give the Young Lions hope, but it proved mere consolation as the Seagulls claimed all three points at the Amex Elite Football Performance Centre.

Samy Chouchane fired Albion ahead early on before Ruairi McConville headed in a second just after the half-hour mark, with Villa unable to force a late leveller as Brighton secured all three PL2 points.
