Rachel Daly has once again been recognised for her contributions towards Aston Villa's impressive campaign, this time for the Barclays WSL's April awards.

While Villa have come up short in two of their three league outings during the penultimate month of the season, Daly's form has unrelented.

The month began with the visit of Chelsea to Poundland Bescot Stadium, and Emma Hayes' title-chasers ran out 3-0 winners over a disappointed Villa side.

A much tighter affair against the Blues would ensue two weeks later in the semi-finals of the Vitality Women's FA Cup, but Villa would get something from their next league outing.

Villa raced out to an early two-goal lead against Tottenham Hotspur at Brisbane Road, but a wild second-half saw the game end at 3-3.

The final game of the month was equally action-packed but included more heartbreak for Carla Ward and co.

Having led twice against Manchester United, Villa looked on-course for a statement win before Marc Skinner's side struck twice in the closing stages to steal the win.

Despite a string of disappointing results, Daly's continued excellence has seen her nominated for both the Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards.

The month included a total of four league goals in three games, two against Spurs and two against United.

The last of Rachel's goals for the month of April is, incidentally, the one which has earned her a nomination for Goal of the Month.

Voting is now open and closes at 10:00 on Monday, May 8.
