Ollie Watkins has been shortlisted for April’s Premier League Player of the Month award.
The Aston Villa striker has been recognised for his superb form last month which saw him find the net five times in seven matches and also register one assist.
It was part of a scintillating run of form in which Watkins scored 11 goals in 12 games.
It also comes after the 27-year-old was nominated for the Premier League award in February, and scooped the club’s Player of the Month honour at the same time.

Watkins started April by netting the opener in our 2-0 triumph at Chelsea, before following that up days later by finding the net in a 2-1 victory at Leicester City – scoring for the sixth successive away game.
His rich vein of form continued in the 2-0 home win over Nottingham Forest before he bagged a brace in Villa’s stunning 3-0 success over Newcastle United, also setting up Jacob Ramsey for the opener.
