Leander Dendoncker insists confidence and belief won’t be affected by Aston Villa’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.
Unai Emery’s side were ultimately undone by Bruno Fernandes’ first-half strike as they tasted defeat for the first time since February.
The loss ended a 10-match unbeaten sequence, but Belgium international Dendoncker says Villa will remain focused as they look to bounce straight back and their spirit will not be damaged.
“No, definitely not,” he told VillaTV.
“I don’t think we played a bad game here.
“The next game is an away game as well, which is going to be tough as well.
“We just have to keep going, we have been outstanding in the last few weeks and we just have to keep going.”

Villa will now be looking to respond at neighbours Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
Dendoncker knows all about the threat Wolves will pose having spent four years at Molineux.
But the midfielder says Villa will make the short trip across the midlands in a positive mindset.
“I obviously played there so I know it’s going to be a tough game because they have been performing in the last few weeks quite well at home,” he added.
“I know they had a bad result this weekend and they will probably want to react.
“But it’s up to us to go there with the same mentality as the last few weeks and try to get the three points.”
