Cameron Archer scored and Jacob Ramsey wore the armband as England defeated Germany at the Under-21 European Championships on Wednesday.

The Aston Villa duo linked up for the opening goal after four minutes, with Ramsey teeing up Archer.

Harvey Elliott scored a second after 21 minutes and it stayed 2-0 as the Three Lions made it three wins from three in Group C.

Having been named captain for the game, Ramsey was withdrawn after 59 minutes before Archer was subbed ten minutes later.

England can look forward to a quarter-final as their journey in the tournament, which is being held in Georgia and Romania, continues.
