The Aston Villa centre-back stepped off the bench in the 60th minute, with the Three Lions three goals to the good.
Mings helped see out victory and keep a crucial clean sheet on what was his 18th cap for his country, coming 15 months after his last international appearance.
England, top of Euro 2024 qualifying Group C on maximum points, are back in action on Monday against North Macedonia (ko 7.45pm).
