Carla Ward, Kenza Dali and Kirsty Hanson have been recognised for their contributions to Aston Villa Women's impressive month of January.

A come-from-behind win against Tottenham Hotspur and a resolute draw at Manchester City have caught the attention of many, with Villa picking up where they left off in 2022.

Kenza Dali has been right at home since signing for us last summer and has continued her positive performances in January.

The French international got us back on level terms against Tottenham in spectacular fashion, before scooping up the Player of the Match award following the 1-1 draw with City.

Kirsty Hanson, meanwhile, has been in blistering form.

Having netted in our final two games of 2022, the Scotland winger picked up assists for both goals against Spurs before bundling home the equaliser against City.

Both Kenza and Kirsty have been nominated for the Barclays WSL's Player of the Month award.

Carla Ward has led her side to an impressive month and has been nominated for Manager of the Month for the third time this season.

The boss has coupled exciting January additions with exciting results and will be looking forward to the rest of the season.

Ward picked up the accolade for September and will be hoping to scoop up the award once again.
