Jacob Ramsey is determined to make the most of extra preparation time for Aston Villa’s next Premier League outing.
Villa are without a game this weekend as the FA Cup fourth round takes centre stage, affording Unai Emery’s squad more time on the training ground.
While expressing his dismay at being out of the competition, Ramsey says the team must use the time wisely to prepare for their next game against Leicester City.

“We were disappointed to get knocked out of the FA Cup but now we have two weeks until Leicester at home,” he said.
“The boss can work on some tactics with us on the training ground.”
Hard work at Bodymoor Heath helped produce Villa’s winner in Saturday’s 1-0 success at Southampton.
A free-kick from Douglas Luiz was turned home by Ollie Watkins to give the visitors all three points, and Ramsey was pleased to see their efforts pay-off.

He said: “We work really hard in training on set-pieces with Austin (MacPhee) and the boss.
“Before the game, Austin said to us, ‘Come on, we haven’t scored a cross or a corner yet.’ Today was the day.”
