Emi Martínez has been named as a finalist for The Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper Award 2022.
The Argentine was among five players initially nominated for the award, having been chosen by a panel of experts for his exploits for club and country between August 2021 and December 2022.
And he has made it through to the final three after being selected by an international jury comprising men’s national team coaches, men’s national team captains, football journalists, and fans who voted on FIFA’s website.
Martínez is up against Yassine Bounou and Thibaut Courtois for the award.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony in Paris on Monday, February 27.
Congratulations, Emi!
