Aston Villa showed two changes for their Boxing Day clash at Manchester United from the side who started Friday night’s draw against Sheffield United.
Diego Carlos and Leander Dendoncker returned to Unai Emery’s line-up at Old Trafford, with Matty Cash serving a one-match suspension and Moussa Diaby named among the substitutes.
There was a place in the matchday 20 for fit-again centre-back Pau Torres, who missed the 1-1 draw against the Blades.
He was joined on the bench by Nicolò Zaniolo following his injury-time equaliser having been introduced as a second-half sub four days ago.
