Aston Villa showed five changes for Sunday’s Premier League trip to Brentford from the side who started at HŠK Zrinjski.

Emi Martínez, Diego Carlos, Boubacar Kamara, John McGinn and Ollie Watkins all returned to Villa’s line-up at Gtech Community Stadium.

The quintet started among the substitutes for Thursday’s 1-1 draw at Zrinjski in the Europa Conference League.

Jacob Ramsey and Álex Moreno retained their places in Unai Emery’s XI, making their first Premier League starts of the campaign against the Bees.

Filip Marschall, Leander Dendoncker, Nicolò Zaniolo and Jhon Durán were named on the bench, alongside fit-again Leon Bailey and Clément Lenglet, as well as Academy goalkeeper Sam Proctor.

Douglas Luiz and Lucas Digne missed the encounter due to respective one-match suspensions.
