Aston Villa welcome back Boubacar Kamara for Wednesday night’s Premier League clash against Manchester City.
The France international midfielder missed Sunday’s 2-2 draw at AFC Bournemouth as he served a one-match suspension but returns to the fold at Villa Park.
Long-term absentees Emi Buendía and Tyrone Mings remain sidelined, while head coach Unai Emery will fully assess his Villa squad on Wednesday morning.
Villa’s head coach provided a fitness update at Tuesday’s pre-match media conference.
“We played on Thursday, on Sunday, we’re going to play tomorrow, we play on Saturday again at home,” he said.
“Every day is very important, how the players are recovering after the last match.
“I can’t know today how we’ll be tomorrow, the players. We’re going to meet tomorrow morning and we’re going to decide.
“I know some players are tired, or have small pain, but I think tomorrow the players are going to be available and ready because every player wants to play matches like that, at home.
“But I’m going to decide as well trying to be responsible with my choice about the players.”
