France made a strong start to proceedings and were 1-0 up inside 15 minutes.

Lyon's Kadidiatou Diani scored her fourth goal of the tournament, heading home a Sakina Karchaoui cross with ease.

Just five minutes later, Kenza notched her first at the World Cup when she swept Diani's cutback into the net.

A first time strike from Lyon's Eugénie Le Sommer added insult to injury for the Moroccans, and the tie was all but over before half-time.

Le Sommer added her second and France's fourth with 20 minutes remaining as they coasted to the finish line and qualify for the last eight.

They will take on Australia on Saturday morning with high hopes of making it to the semi-finals.
