Aston Villa fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat at Manchester United which ended the club’s superb 10-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Bruno Fernandes converted the only goal of the game just before the break, with Villa denied on numerous occasions late on, most notably Douglas Luiz’s effort headed off the line by Victor Lindelof.

The narrow reverse, only a second away Premier League defeat under Unai Emery, ended an unbeaten sequence which had produced eight wins, two draws and seven clean sheets since mid-February.
