Douglas Luiz spoke of his happiness after finding the net late on at Brentford to seal a hard-fought point for Aston Villa.
The Brazilian netted his fifth goal of the season at the Gtech Community Stadium, slamming home from close range as the Villans applied pressure to cancel out Ivan Toney’s equaliser.
Luiz’s late leveller extended Villa’s impressive unbeaten run to nine matches as they prepare to host Fulham on Tuesday night.
And the midfielder was delighted to help secure a share of the spoils against the Bees.
“I’m so happy to score in the last minutes of the game,” he told VillaTV.
“We know it’s so difficult because Brentford press throughout the game.
"We can improve, at the same time, but it was a difficult game and I’m so happy to score the goal.”
Luiz added: “I know how it’s so important for us to score in the game, to improve. I’m so happy to score and help the team.”

The 24-year-old is enjoying his most prolific season to date in the claret and blue of Villa as he impresses in the middle of the park.
Luiz admits he is playing full of confidence and now enjoys more opportunities to score goals, register assists and help his team.
And with Villa now unbeaten since mid-February, he says there is also a strong sense of confidence and belief among the whole squad.
“It’s true, it’s so high,” he said. “We believe in the team, all the staff, we’re in a good moment and we’re very happy.”
He added: “We have the one point here and now we focus on Tuesday. We need to train, we need to recover and focus on this game.”
