Leander Dendoncker returned to Aston Villa’s starting line-up for the visit of Newcastle United.
The midfielder, making his first start since early January, replaced Leon Bailey in Villa’s XI after the Jamaica international was forced off in the first half of last weekend’s 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.
Dendoncker’s inclusion was the sole change as Unai Emery, otherwise, kept faith with an unchanged side.
There was also a maiden appearance in the first-team matchday 20 for talented 17-year-old forward Travis Patterson.
