Aston Villa Under-18s lost out to Chelsea following a second-half surge from the hosts on Saturday.

The visiting Villans took the lead with just eight minutes on the clock when Kaiden Wilson netted an own goal.

Ronnie Stutter levelled the scores before the Blues scored three times in nine second-half minutes to take the win.

Louis Flower, Kiano Dyer and a penalty from Stutter did the damage.

Arriving in west London on a four-game unbeaten run in the league, the U18s quickly forged ahead.

Mikell Barnes threaded a pass through to Charlie Pavey on the left wing and his cross was deflected in by Wilson.

Chelsea responded 11 minutes later when Ato Ampah’s cross was met by a diving Stutter, leaving Alex Hammond with no chance.

The offside flag denied Kyrie Pierre a goal while Todd Alcock shot into the side netting as Villa finished the first half strongly.

But the Blues took charge in the second half via Flower’s goal, with the forward beating Hammond from a tight angle.

A solo strike of real quality from Dyer followed quickly as the Chelsea player jinked into the box before dinking the ball past the ‘keeper.

And the scoring was complete when Stutter lashed home a spot kick on 73 minutes.
