Douglas Luiz is expecting a tough game when Aston Villa visit St James’ Park on Saturday.
Newcastle United have enjoyed a strong start to the season and Eddie Howe’s side occupy fourth spot in the Premier League heading into this weekend’s match.
While he anticipates a difficult 90 minutes on Tyneside, Luiz believes Villa can achieve a positive result.

“This game is very difficult for us,” he said.
“Newcastle have a good squad and they’re higher than us in the table.
“We’re training so hard and if we can play good against them, we can win this game.”
Luiz put in a strong display last time out as Villa demolished Brentford 4-0 at Villa Park to record their third top flight victory of the campaign.

It was the Brazilian’s first win since he signed a new contract earlier in the month, and he reiterated his happiness to be continuing his career in claret and blue.
He said: “I enjoy every day here; it’s a big club. Playing in the Premier League, it’s the best league in the world.
“I enjoy every moment, I enjoy being with the players, the club – everything.”
