Jan Bednarek was handed his full Aston Villa debut for the Premier League clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The defender, whose only previous appearance in claret in blue came as a second-half substitute in the goalless draw at Leeds, was named in Villa’s starting XI to face the Cottagers.
Bednarek came in for fellow Poland international Matty Cash, who was named among the subs in west London.
Villa head coach Steven Gerrard, otherwise, kept faith with the same starting XI who impressed against Chelsea last weekend before falling to a 2-0 defeat.
Striker Cameron Archer made his return to the matchday 20 as he was named on the bench.
