Aston Villa came up against Portsmouth in the Papa Johns Trophy on Tuesday night. 

The club's Under-21 side got off to a shaky start, conceding twice in the opening seven minutes, before growing into the game at Fratton Park. 

The League One promotion hopefuls showed their class in the second half as they ran out 5-0 winners.
